27 Riad Saied Romany Hafez Mostafa Selim Gazbia Sirry Ahmed Farid from his previous work. Gallery Misr exhibited Egyptian artist Hend Samir and her exposé tackling themes from ritual, societal perception and pop culture media. Also at Gallery Misr, Polish artist Viktor Dyndo’s “Internet Lies” ran from 28 th October to 15 th November. Dyndo’s series referred to the circulation of images in modern media depicting contemporary events, and the influence of these media sources on our perception and interpretation of the world around us. Art Talks hosted two separate exhibitions for the month of October & November, which were on display simultaneously. From October to November, the late surrealist Riyad Said’s “Apple of My Eye” also included works by Alaa Atef, winner of the annual Riad Saied Award for Art and Creativity. Saied’s exhibition is a captivating showcase of the juxtaposition of images as he mixes Egyptian elements with those of the outside world, in a distinct surrealism that uses extensive symbolism and cultural iconography. Picasso Art Gallery of Zamalek also exhibited Ahmed Farid from October 28 th to November 14 th . Also exhibiting at the same time in Picasso Art Gallery was fellow Egyptian artist Mostafa Selim during the same dates, and Romany Hafez exhibited his creations from November 18 th to December 8 th .
