33 Cairo Marriott Proudly Sponsors Ahl Masr for Omar Kamal Concert at Giza Pyramids Plateau As part of the Cairo Marriott’s ever-growing list of sponsorship endeavors and its continuing initiatives to support the community under the Serve 360 banner, the Ahl Masr concert for Omar Kamal saw the Cairo Marriott act as the official hotel sponsor and caterer for this special occasion. The concert was organized by Ahl Masr Foundation in collaboration with Promoters, with the aim of helping to raise funds to build the first non-profit, specialized hospital in treating burn victims in the Middle East and North Africa for free. This commendable philanthropic effort took place at the always show-worthy great Pyramids of Giza plateau venue, where for the first time internationally acclaimed singer Omar Kamal and his orchestra performed majestically to a select crowd amidst a truly special backdrop, the heart of Egyptian civilization. Omar Kamal is known as the ‘Arab Frank Sinatra’ because of his sensuous and unmistakably distinct tone and singing voice, and to the delight of the crowd in attendance he performed a memorable selection of his most popular and famous songs during the event. This included a wonderful rendition of Fayrouz’s ballad ‘Ya Ana’, which he tastefully supplemented with English lyrics along with the same music, originally composed by Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart. The unforgettable night has begun with an introductory speech by H.E. Dr. Ghada Wally the Minister of Social Solidarity and this was followed by a noteworthy speech by Heba Elsewedy, the Founder and Chairwoman of the increasingly impactful and influential Ahl Masr Foundation, organizers of the entire event. Star of the show Omar Kamal and his orchestra then took the stage with a spectacular performance, which set the crowd alight. The Cairo Marriott’s contribution capped off the glamorous night by having their professional catering experts attend to servicing the audience in attendance with an exquisite selection of food and beverage, making this event a truly spectacular affair for a genuinely noble and worthwhile charitable cause.
