PREPARATION
1.
Whisk together flour, bakingpowder,
baking soda, salt, ginger, cinnamon, and
clovesuntilwell blended.
2. Ina largebowl beat butter, brown sugar,
andegguntilwell blended, thenadd
molasses andvanilla.
3. Gradually stir indry ingredients
4. Dividedough inhalf andwrapeachhalf in
plasticand let standat room temperature
for at lease2hoursor up to8hours.
5. Preheat oven to375deg.
6. Greaseor linecookie sheetswith
parchment paper.

Place thedoughona lightlyfloured surface.
8. Roll it toa scant 1/4-inch thick.
9. Cut out cookieswithdesiredcutter.
10. Bake 1 sheet at a time for 7-10minutes.
11. After cookies arecool youmaydecorate
themanywayyou like.
