18 S E R V E 3 6 0 SOS CHILDREN AT THE PALACE IN ANOTHER SERVE 360 SUCCESS A s part of Marriott International’s companywide Serve 360 initiative which aims at “Doing Good in Every Direction,” the Cairo Marriott proudly hosted 40 children from the SOS Children’s Village along with their supervisors, for a memorable day of delightful food and fun. The children and their supervisors were invited to spend their mid-year vacation at the palace, where they were treated to an enjoyable itinerary of games, music and eats in the lovely Empress ballroom. Entertainment for the kids consisted of a clown balloon and DJ, while a face- painting station provided them the opportunity to get their faces colored in the style of their favorite superhero’s. Children were also entertained by a mosaic station, giving them a chance to express themselves artistically, while a dance show followed this line- up of activities, along with extra games prepared for the kids to enjoy. The event was attended by a number of hotel associates, along with the General Manager Khaled Al Jamal, who oversaw yet another successful Serve 360 endeavor to bring kids from the SOS Children’s Village something to smile about. SOS is an NGO working to protect and support children who have lost their parental care, or who stand at risk of losing it.
