The second day was all about “Reconnecting with the Target Guest,” which focused on the four key insights of the “Inventive Class” mindset. On this day, hosts brainstormed ideas on how they might be able to deliver service in a way that appeals to these insights. The aim of the second day’s events was to inspire associates of better understanding of actionable ways to appeal to this type of traveler. The third day revolved around “Understanding the Inventive Class” and was aimed at educating associates on how to practice empathy with these guests. The hosts sought to gain an appreciation of travel life from the perspective of the “Inventive Class,” and conducted role-play scenarios which demonstrated how associates can show empathy with the “Inventive Class.” The fourth day of proceedings covered “The Art of Hosting” specifically on “Identifying Recommitments” and identified areas of focus and actions related to loyalty and the “Art of Hosting.” The desired outcome for the hosts on this day was to motivate associates to continue to advance the “Art of Hosting,” but not stopping there, to advance it to the next level. The final day of Recommitment Week 2019 was the conclusive “Recommitment Ceremony and Celebration” at the Town Hall meeting led by the General Manager, Khaled Al Jamal. The last day of Recommitment Week celebrated the culmination of the week’s eventful, informative and collaborative efforts, and congratulated the hosts for their accomplishments, encouraging them to follow through on their commitments. The final day saw the hosts feel an innate sense of pride to be part of the Marriott Hotels brand, and furthermore feel energized to advance with success and longevity the “Art of Hosting” each day on the job.
